Originally established in 1929 as a roadside stand, Legacy Pie Co. has been providing pies to Colorado for nearly a century. Located in Denver’s Berkeley neighborhood (4000 Tennyson St., Suite 100, Denver, CO 80212) next to Post Oak BBQ, Legacy Pie Co. hand makes their pies from scratch every day.

Mile High Pie Co. bills itself as “all killer, no filler” and their menu is simple but sweet offering a pumpkin pie, caramel apple streusel, pecan, chocolate chunk pecan, walnut whiskey and maple and a gluten-free crumbles option. They do not currently have a brick and mortar location but offer catering through their website and have a list of local retailers who carry their pies throughout Denver.

Mile High Pie Co. will also be doing a pickup Thanksgiving event on Nov. 21 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Mondo Market at Stanley Marketplace in Edgewater. The ordering queue for that event is currently live on their website.

Miss Molly’s is offering a holiday menu of their pies, cakes and breads which includes 10 different flavors of 9-inch whole pies, five flavors of two-layer holiday cakes, five types of holiday cheesecakes and holiday bread loaves in six different flavors. They offer online ordering for pickup and delivery on their website.

“Holy yum!!!!” says Google reviewer Shannon Cunningham. “Great spot for a stroll in City Park. Kind employees, moist pastries, and delicious cookies. Calzones looked yummy too. Would be great place to get catering from.”

Deby’s Gluten Free

Deby’s Gluten Free Bakery offers a variety of baked goods which cater to those with allergies including dairy, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, egg and gluten. They also offer vegan options. 



For those with Celiac disease and other digestive issues or those simply looking for gluten-free alternatives, Deby’s (2369 S Trenton Way, Denver, CO 80231) will be considered a staple for many this holiday season. They offer 9-inch fruit, cream, and cheesecake pies as well as pre-made gluten-free flaky pie crusts. Additionally, they have a variety of breads, sweets and frozen entrees available for purchase.

“Fantastic selection of gluten-free foods!” says Google local guide Mary Biancalana. “They had at least 15 types of donuts, five types of gluten-free pies, various types of gluten-free bagels, English muffins and breads. They also had a fantastic selection of gluten-free items in their many freezer sections.”

Gateaux Bakery on Speer offers fruit pies in a variety of flavors including apple, blueberry, cherry and peach.

Gateaux is offering a menu of specialty pies, tarts and cookies for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving event orders will close on Nov. 18 and the bakery will be closed from Nov. 22 to Nov. 25.
