One dead in rollover crash in Denver
One person was killed early Thursday morning in a single-vehicle rollover crash in the Goldsmith neighborhood, the Denver Police Department announced.
Police said the crash happened about 3 a.m. at East Evans Avenue and South Pontiac Way, near the Mosaic Apartments.
The driver appeared to have lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the vehicle rolling and landing on its side off of the road, police said. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The driver’s identity and official cause of death will be released by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner after their family has been notified.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, police said. Police have not released any information about what led to the crash or any suspected contributing factors.
East Evans Avenue was partially closed for several hours Thursday morning as officers processed the scene.
