Denver weather: More heat records likely to fall with triple-digit temperatures
Denver is expected to set a record high temperature again Wednesday, the National Weather Service in Boulder said.
Temperatures are expected to hit a high of 100 degrees, 4 degrees above the 2020 record of 96 degrees, the agency said.
On Tuesday, the high temperature reached 101 degrees at Denver International Airport, the official recording station for the city. That broke the previous record high of 97 degrees set in 1993 and 1952.
Aside from sunny skies, the forecast holds a 10% chance of rain between 4 and 5 p.m. with winds between 5 to 9 mph, the weather service said.
Overnight skies are expected to be partly cloudy with a low of 67 degrees, the weather service said.
Temperatures stay in the 90s through the weekend, the agency said. Slight chances of afternoon thunderstorms and rain are likely all week also, the agency said.
