Ex-CU wing Andrew Crawford transfers to Northern Colorado | Colorado Sunshine
Where good news shines
Northern Colorado basketball again is making waves in the NCAA transfer portal.
The Bears announced Wednesday the signing of Andrew Crawford, who spent the past two seasons at CU-Boulder. Crawford was a decorated player at ThunderRidge High in Highlands Ranch, twice being named a Class 6A all-state first-team selection and helping the program to three state title games.
A 6-foot-6 wing, Crawford was considered the state’s top prospect in the Class of 2024. He played in 10 games last season for the Buffs. UNC’s had success with transfers from CU. Guard Daylen Kountz, a star at Denver East who began his college career in Boulder, developed into an All-Big Sky player in Greeley.
“We’re really excited to add Andrew to our Bears squad for ’26-27,” UNC coach Steve Smiley said. “Before looking at what he will bring to our squad on the floor, I want to emphasize how important Drew’s character, maturity and leadership will be to our team.”
