Evacuations ordered for wildfire on western edge of Fort Collins
FORT COLLINS — Evacuations have been ordered for some Fort Collins residents as a result of a wildfire in the area.
Poudre Fire Authority said on social media Thursday evening that officers were responding to a three-alarm wildfire in the 1200 block of Catalpa Place, just east of Horsetooth Reservoir on the western edge of Fort Collins.
Crews are on scene and air resources have been ordered, the fire department said.
Voluntary evacuations have been ordered for people living between Overland Trail and Taft Hill Road, south of Vine Drive and north of Horsetooth Road. They have also been ordered for residents west of Overland Trail, south of Dixon Canyon Road and north of South Loop Trail. Residents are told to gather essential items and prepare for evacuation.
