Denver weather: Mostly sunny with a slight chance of rain
What was once forecasted as a big spring storm has tapered off into a typical spring Friday in Denver.
The National Weather Service said to expect a high of around 61 degrees today with very light winds. If it does rain today, it will be in the afternoon.
The spring storm that forecasters had been alluding to all week didn’t quite have the legs it was thought to have. The moisture, though much needed, was short-lived yesterday in urban areas, but Colorado’s mountains got a substantial dumping.
The weather service gives the Denver area a 20% chance of rain today as the state will begin to dry up again and the temperatures rise over the weekend.
Most areas will stay dry today as we begin to warm again. Only a few light rain and snow showers will be possible through this afternoon, mainly for the mountains and along/south of I-70. #COwx pic.twitter.com/aoVB5mkCMS

However, early forecasts show more precipitation early next week, particularly Monday night into Tuesday.
Tonight, expect a low of around 36 degrees.
