Red Rocks moves show ahead of expected snowstorm
Amid heavy snowfall expected to hit a large swath of Colorado, Red Rocks has canceled its May 6 show, rescheduling the event for Tuesday of next week.
The Bright Eyes show that was scheduled to take place this week was set to feature the group’s ‘I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning’ and ‘Digital Ash in a Digital Urn’ albums in their entirety, with Ben Kweller playing between Brights Eyes sets, as well. Wintery weather moving through the area could result in safety issues, though, with about eight to 12 inches expected in Morrison during an ongoing storm. Snowfall is expected to taper off as Wednesday continues, but temperatures will still be around freezing during the time of the now-rescheduled show.
All tickets for the Bright Eyes show that were previously purchased via AXS will be honored for the new May 12 date, per the venue.
Meanwhile, a David Guetta show scheduled for the night of May 5 is still scheduled to take place at time of reporting. It starts at 7 p.m. – some fans are reporting this is an earlier start than what was previously announced.
