Dubbed Hideaway Creek Cabin, this 4,181-square-foot home sits on 35.23 pristine acres in the San Juan mountains, complete with four bedrooms and five bathrooms. Completed in 2025, it’s the first and only private residence that’s finished at the Cimarron Mountain Club property at this time.

Ahead of an auction that’s set to run from July 14 through July 28, the property is listed at $25.7 million – but as Steven Shane of Compass Real Estate notes, “you’re not simply purchasing a home – you’re gaining access to an entire private mountain lifestyle that very few people will ever experience.”

Membership at Cimarron Mountain Club is limited to just 13 owners and with more than 1,900 acres of private skiing terrain available, crowding is never expected. Members also get access to a wide-range of year-round recreation opportunities on top of a winter season that includes snowcat skiing, no lift lines, and personalized experiences led by 14 expert guides. There’s also a 15,000-square-foot private lodge on-site, top-notch dining, professional concierge services, and a true feeling of privacy that’s still just about 30 minutes from Montrose Regional Airport.

The home that will be auctioned also comes fully furnished. It’s got a wood frame construction, a metal roof, radiant heat, a solar energy system, two wood-burning fireplaces, and a car port. While there’s an annual HOA fee of $135,000, that comes with firewood delivery, water and trash services, snow removal, and grounds maintenance.

The Cimarron Mountain Club is found along the Cimarron River corridor that’s between Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and the San Juan Mountains – aside from what’s found on-site, additional skiing, world-class trout fishing, hiking, boating, rock climbing, wildlife viewing, and more can be found in the region.
