Beloved children’s museum set to host first-ever “mess fest” in Colorado
The highly-rated Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus is hosting its first ever “Mess Fest,” described as a “full-body, no-holds-barred celebration of sensory play,” from July 10 to July 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
According to the museum, kids are invited to “dive headfirst (literally!) into a giant mound of mud and dance their hearts out in fluffy foam.” Each day of the event will also feature its own “mega mess” for the children to enjoy. Friday will include “glorious goo,” Saturday will be a “party with paint,” and Sunday will feature “squishy shaving cream.”
There will also be a kid wash for children to rinse off before leaving the event. The museum recommends bringing a change of clothes and a towel and leaving anything you don’t want to get dirty in the car. There will be changing tents available.
In order to keep the museum clean, participants are asked to start their visits inside and then move outside to Joy Park to enjoy Mess Fest.
