Where good news shines

Mike D’Antoni got his NBA start with the Nuggets.

Now he’s going in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

The Class of 2026 will be inducted on Aug. 15 in Springfield, Mass. The Hall of Fame announced Wednesday the presenters for the Class of 2026.

D’Antoni, who began his NBA sideline run as a Nuggets assistant in 1997 and served as the head coach in 1998-99, has the longest list of presenters: Jerry Colangelo (a 2004 inductee), Bob McAdoo (2000), Steve Nash (2018), Amar’e Stoudemire (2026) and Rod Thorn (2018).

The other Hall of Fame inductees: Gonzaga coach Mark Few, Joey Crawford, Chamique Holdsclaw, Elena Delle Donne, Candace Parker, Doc Rivers, Stoudemire and the 1996 USA Women’s Basketball team.
