El Paso County deputy charged with unlawful sexual conduct
An El Paso County Sheriff’s deputy was arrested on Tuesday night in unincorporated El Paso County and charged with unlawful sexual conduct, according to a news release by the Sheriff’s Office.
Christopher Ramirez, 34, was taken into custody without incident and booked into the El Paso County Jail after the Sheriff’s Office received a call stating an adult male had entered a business in the 6800 block of Fountain Mesa Road and allegedly inappropriately touched an adult female, according to the release.
The suspect, who left the scene before the arrival of deputies, was unknown to the victim, the release stated. An investigation identified Ramirez as the suspect.
Ramirez, who has been employed with the Sheriff’s Office since November 2024, was released on a personal recognizance bond on Wednesday after his advisement hearing, the release stated.
Ramirez worked in the Detention Security Division and has been placed on administrative leave.
