Denver weather: More storms loom over Colorado

Thunderstorms should be on tap for Denver as Thursday brings the heaviest forecasted totals.

The National Weather Service said to expect a high of around 89 degrees with a 60% chance of precipitation and mildly gusty winds.

Rain could start as early as noon, with the bulk of the storm happening after 3 p.m. and into the evening. Once again, some areas in Colorado are prone to potential flash floods, though Denver isn’t one of them.

Forecasters expect Thursday to be the last day of precipitation for the week. Temperatures are expected to shoot back up to nearly 100 degrees by the weekend.

Tonight, expect a low of around 64 degrees with rainfall ceasing by 9 p.m.
