Denver weather: Sunny skies and slightly warmer temperatures forecast for Thursday

Sunny skies and highs near 45 degrees are forecast Thursday for Denver, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

“Skies will be sunny today. Temperatures will be a little warmer, though snow areas with deep snow will be cooler than elsewhere,” the agency said on X, the social media website previously known as Twitter.

Expect south/southwest winds blowing 5 to 8 mph and becoming north/northeast in the afternoon.

Clear skies are forecast for Thursday evening, with lows around 22 degrees and southwest winds blowing around 6 mph.

Sunny conditions are expected to continue throughout Friday and Saturday, with cloud cover moving in Sunday.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 52. South/southwest wind around 6 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 54. South/southeast wind 3 to 6 mph.

Sunday (New Year’s Eve): Partly sunny, with a high near 45.

Monday (New Year’s Day): Expect mostly sunny conditions, with a high near 48.
