Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie LLP is moving its Denver office to the new McGregor Square in Lower Downtown, signing on for two of the square’s six floors of office space, the law firm announced Tuesday.

The law firm and its predecessors have been apart of the Colorado legal community since 1903, with offices in Denver and Colorado Springs, in addition to Arizona, California, Nevada and New Mexico.

“We are thrilled to partner with McGregor Square as our firm looks forward to this next phase,” said Doug Tumminello, managing partner. “New offices in the historic, vibrant ballpark district is reflective of our firm — rooted in Denver’s past and focused on its future.”

The firm joins Red Canary computer security in signing on as office tenants within McGregor Square, a multiyear development project set to open in 2021.

The square, across the street from Coors Field, includes three towers that will house condos, a hotel, office space and numerous shops and restaurants.

Retail tenants so far include the Bank of Colorado, Flowers on the Vine, Tattered Cover, Starbucks and Rock Fitness. Of the square’s 103 luxury condos, 60% have been sold.

“We look forward to being part of the McGregor Square community,” said firm partner Brian Spano. “It will provide our clients, attorneys and employees with unique business and recreation opportunities, all within close walking distance of Union Station and Coors Field.”

The firm is working with Gillian Johnson of Anderson Mason Dale to design the new space.

It will occupy the top two floors, totaling over 30,000 square feet. The firm plans to move into the space in mid-2021.

“After a year spent working mostly apart, we look forward to spending time with our colleagues, clients and friends in this exciting new project unlike any other in Denver,” said firm partner Jim Lyons.

McGregor Square will begin opening in February, allowing condo residents to move in that month. The hotel and retail space are scheduled to open in March or April. Office tenants will move in beginning in June.
