Mountain town spot dubbed Colorado’s ‘best small-town bar’
Well-known website Thrillist recently released their list of America’s best small town bars by state and there’s a good chance you’ve heard of Colorado’s top spot.
A favorite among those traveling between the Front Range and ski country, Bread Bar in Silver Plume was dubbed the ‘best small-town bar’ in the Centennial State. Complete with a “mountain town vibe,” Thrillist picked this watering hole for a number of reasons, including the “expertly made cocktails,” rotating food options, and an atmosphere “so stylized and charming it deserves to be on Insta.”
If you’re hoping to visit this spot, your trip might have to wait. According to the Bread Bar website, the bar is temporarily closed. An October 13 announcement on Facebook stated that the bar would be pausing regular service and “hibernating” with patio season coming to a close.
Bread Bar is located at 1010 Main Street in Silver Plume, Colorado. Silver Plume is a small town of around 200 residents, located along I-70, west of Georgetown and between Idaho Springs and Silverthorne. It’s a popular spot for drivers to stop as they travel west toward Colorado’s mountains from the Denver metro area.
