Air Force standout Julie Segroves shows star potential with Mountain West award | Colorado Sunshine
Where good news shines
Julie Segroves soared to her first Mountain West award.
An Air Force pole vaulter, Segroves on Tuesday was named Mountain West track and field freshman of the week after the Biloxi, Miss., native recorded a career-best clearance of 4.08 meters at the famed Drake Relays. The vault improved her own No. 2 mark in the Air Force record books and placed fourth in the Drake Relays’ championship division.

Segroves is ranked 10th nationally in NCAA Division I pole vault this season. She also holds the top clearance by a Mountain West freshman.
Air Force track and field competes at Colorado State in the Doug Max Invitational on Saturday.
