As the leaves began to yellow and October begins, the time for spooks is upon us.
The Front Range has no shortage of haunted attractions this season, from scary corn mazes to multistory haunted houses.
Here’s a list of some of the best haunts around:
HellScream Haunted House
Rated as one of the scariest haunted houses in Colorado — and even the country — HellScream Haunted House has been scaring Colorado Springs for more than 15 years now.
Set in a three-story historic medical building, HellScream’s themes this year will include “Pandemonium,” “Insanity Mano” and “Voodoo Bayou.”

Fear Complex Haunted House

As Colorado Spring’s newest and largest haunted attraction, the Fear Complex Haunted House will offer four themed sections this year: Haunted Mines, The Sanitarium, Carnevil and Sinister Manor.
The Fear Complex building has more than 25,000 square feet of scares, and tickets are available for weekends throughout October.

Terror in the Corn
This mile-long Halloween attraction takes visitors through a massive corn field, filled with hidden haunts.
The maze even leads to the ghost town of Raven’s Gulch, made up of abandoned buildings and nightmares around the corners.
The attraction is at Anderson Farms in Erie, which also hosts a Fall Festival to enjoy outside of the spooks.

13th Floor Haunted House
With nearly a dozen experiences and activities, Denver’s 13th Floor Haunted House is ready to scare.
This year, the attraction will offer three themes: “The Deadlands,” “Repossessed” and “A Fairytale Nightmare.”
But that’s not all. The location will also have two on-site bars, tarot readings, ax throwing and even a zombie shooting range (with jelly-ball guns).

Each Saturday in October, the Aftermath Haunted House in Cañon City will be open for haunts.

Haunted Field of Screams
The Haunted Field of Screams is Colorado’s largest haunted attraction, sitting on a 40-acre corn field and the haunted Riverdale Road.

Frightmare Compound
For over 40 years, The Frightmare Compound has been scaring visitors during the Halloween season.
