A man is dead following a shooting in Aurora Tuesday evening, according to Aurora police.

Police responded the call about a shooting on 1st Drive, just east of I-225 near Aurora City Hall just before 6 p.m. Tuesday night, according to a police notification.

When officers got to the scene, they found an adult man in a car with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries, according to a police notification Wednesday morning.

Police don’t have suspect information at this time and the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identify.
