Colorado breweries win big with 23 medals at World Beer Cup
Colorado’s craft beer continues to shine on the world stage. Known as the “Olympics of Beer,” the World Beer Cup recognized 113 beer-style categories this year.
PHILADELPHIA — Nearly two dozen awards were awarded to Colorado breweries at the 2026 World Beer Cup.
Nineteen Colorado breweries received a total of 23 awards at the ceremony at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
The Colorado Brewers Guild (CBG) said the World Beer Cup evaluates beers from around the world, recognizing the most outstanding brewers and beers in 113 beer-style categories.
“Colorado continues to showcase why we are the state of craft beer. Taking both Silver and Gold in West Coast-Style IPA, the most competitive category in the competition, is a testament to our brewers’ skill and creativity,” said CBG Executive Director Shawnee Adelson. “And with nine beers earning World Beer Cup medals for at least the second time, it’s clear that Colorado doesn’t just make world-class beer— we make it consistently.”
