Where good news shines
Colorado State’s Kloe Froebe on Monday was named Mountain West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
A sophomore guard from Lincoln (Ill.) High School, Froebe won the award thanks to her performance in CSU’s sweep of UNLV and Air Force. Froebe averaged 13.5 points, 14 rebounds and two assists across the two games.
The highlight was a 20-rebound outburst against Air Force. She added 15 points in a 66-52 win over the Falcons. She had 12 points, eight rebounds, one assist and one steal in a 77-61 win over UNLV, the Rams’ first win over the Lady Rebels since 2021.
Froebe last season won four Mountain West Freshman of the Week awards.
Colorado State (23-7, 14-5 Mountain West) closes the regular season Tuesday at San Jose State (4-26, 2-17).
