Colorado women’s golf earns spot in NCAA regionals for first time in eight years | Colorado Sunshine

Where good news shines

Colorado women’s golf is headed to the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship for the first time in eight years.

The Buffs earned the No. 9 seed in the Waco Regional, which will take place May 11-13 at Ridgewood Country Club in Waco, Texas. Baylor is the host.

CU this season shows two tournament wins and a runner-up finish. Coach Madeleine Sheils has the Buffs in the NCAA field for the first time since 2018.

“I’m so incredibly grateful and proud,” Sheils said. “You try every day to do the little things well in hopes they add up to the result you’re looking for.”

The top five teams from each of the six NCAA regionals advance to the NCAA finals May 22-27 at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.
