Denver weather: Rainy and cool with some snowy mountains
After a week of heat and fire danger, Colorado will see a significant cooldown and increased precipitation.
The National Weather Service said to expect a high near 57 in Denver on Tuesday, with scattered rainfall throughout the day.
The change in the weather pattern started over the weekend when Denver saw precipitation for the first time in weeks. Moisture and cooler temperatures are forecasted for the remainder of this week.
The weather service doesn’t expect measurable rainfall today, but the shift has helped significantly with fire danger throughout the state.
The mountains are expected to receive some squalls of snow. Early morning commuters woke up to a surprise dumping of snow near the Eisenhower tunnel on I-70.
