Lone Tree woman arrested on murder charge in domestic dispute

A Colorado Springs man died after an alleged domestic violence incident in Lone Tree.

The Lone Tree Police Department responded Friday morning to a domestic disturbance on Trainstation Circle. When they arrived at an apartment, officers found a man suffering from injuries and bleeding, authorities said.

Police said officers immediately rendered aid before the victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died of his injuries.

The victim was later identified as Dadrian E. Carpenter, 22, of Colorado Springs.

A woman at the scene was taken in for questioning and later arrested, police said. She was identified as Lovely A. Rucker, 20, of Lone Tree.

Rucker was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree assault, tampering with evidence and menacing with a deadly weapon. All felony charges were related to the domestic violence incident, authorities said.

Lovely is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, according to court records.

Police said the incident appears to be isolated and that there is no ongoing threat to the community.

The LTPD said the Parker Police Department and the 23rd Judicial District Attorney’s office assisted in the investigation.
