Man shot, killed by Broomfield police
Broomfield police shot and killed a man Friday evening, the department reported.
The department said in an X post that officers responded just after 7:30 p.m. to the 200 block of Flint Way on reports of a disturbance. Shortly after their arrival, police opened fire; an adult male suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the investigation is in the early stages. The 17th Judicial District Critical Incident Response team is investigating.
Police did not release the name of the man killed or say whether he was believed to be armed. Police also did not share what circumstances led to the shooting or how many shots were fired.
No officers were injured in the incident.
