Leven Deli Co.

A new restaurant, gift and wine shop is coming to Denver’s Washington Park neighborhood. Leven Deli Co. is opening a new concept called Leven Supply at 300 E. Alameda Ave. in Denver. The shop is slated to open next year.

Leven Deli Co. opened in 2018 in Denver’s Golden Triangle neighborhood aiming to reinvigorate the classic Jewish deli. The eatery serves Mediterranean-inspired sandwiches, salads and baked goods, but is best known for naturally leavened breads and dry-aged pastrami.

The forthcoming Leven Supply shop strives to put a new spin on the neighborhood market. The shop will sell the same leavened breads, sandwiches and menu items found at the deli, but also grocery items and wines.

The supply store will build on the deli’s mission of providing employees with pay, benefits and quality of life “not typically associated” with careers in hospitality, the restaurant’s news release said.

“Leven Supply came about because we want to provide continual growth opportunities for our team members,” founder Anthony Lygizos said in the release.

Winter Wanderland

Cherry Creek North has announced the details of its Winter Wanderland event set to open in November.

The celebration of the 2023 holiday season will begin with the Million Light Plug-In event on Nov. 16, which lights a 16-block area. The lighting event coincides with the opening of the Holiday Market on Fillmore Plaza, which runs through Dec. 24. The market will gather more than 40 vendors selling items from local artisans and brands.

New this year is a pop-up holiday bar called the Mistletoe Lounge. The bar runs from Nov. 16 to Dec. 24 from “a real-life snow globe” near the market, according to a news release.

The event’s Small Business Weekend will be back and running from Nov. 24 to Nov. 26. The weekend encourages visitors to support small businesses in the neighborhood. About 70% of the district’s retailers are small businesses, according to Cherry Creek North.

On the first three Saturdays in December, visitors can walk under 600 illuminated trees, catch a glimpse of stilt walkers and LED ballerinas, or hit the light-up dance floor during the Saturday Night Lights installments of Winter Wanderland.

“With more than 300 local merchants, Cherry Creek North is the largest collection of independent retailers in the greater Denver area — making it a one-stop destination for a full and festive holiday experience that embraces the spirit of the season,” Lisa Voss, Cherry Creek North Business Improvement District’s vice president of marketing, said in a news release.

Better Homes and Gardens

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Kenney & Company is opening its fifth office in the Denver metro area. The office at 1423 Pearl Street in Denver’s Platt Park neighborhood scheduled its grand opening earlier this month.

“Opening our Pearl Street office in the heart of Denver is not just about location – it’s about dedication,” owner Mike Kenney said in a news release.

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Kenney & Company is a family-owned brokerage that joined the national Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate brand in February. The brokerage, approaching its 40th anniversary in Colorado, works throughout the state and Front Range.

The new office will be managed by David Hasbani and Lauren Rowland. The location was selected for its access to Interstate 25 and central location in Denver, according to a news release, as well as to support recruitment efforts while the team of agents grows.

The latest office is the firm’s second office expansion since affiliating with Better Homes and Gardens, according to a news release.
