[WATCH] Herd of Elk Take Over Downtown Estes Park

It’s no secret that elk frequent the streets of Estes Park during rut season, but rarely are they seen prancing through town in such a large herd once winter hits. Below you’ll find a video captured by Tom Bloodgood of dozens of elk causing a classic Colorado traffic jam.

 

If you happen to see an elk (or any other wild animal), keep your distance. As Colorado continues to grow, more issues are being caused by human-animal interactions, often resulting in the animal being put down. Mind your own business and let them go about theirs.
