There’s a skiing and snowboarding competition coming to Colorado, but it won’t be at the ski slopes.
A street-style rail jam competition featuring a 90-foot slopestyle course, a beer garden, food trucks, and live music is kicking off this Saturday in downtown Denver.
Come out to the Civic Center Park in the heart of Denver for the inaugural “Downtown Open” hosted by the Civic Center Conservancy and Pacifico this Saturday, February 22 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Catch performances by local musicians, including Option4 and SoDown, as well as professional athlete appearances from Tom Wallisch and a number of other Olympic and X-games competitors.
One snowboarder and one skier will be crowned champion at the competition. Both winners will receive an all-inclusive trip to the Summer X Games 2020 in Minneapolis (MN).
The event is free. All proceeds collected from the concessions and food trucks will go back to the Civic Center Conservancy, which will go towards putting on even more events throughout the year. More details here.
