Denver sets new record high temperature on Sunday

Amid a weekend of warm weather, Denver set a new record high temperature for Nov. 5 on Sunday.

The Denver International Airport recorded a temperature of 78 degrees, breaking the previous record of 77 degrees for the date, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

The previous record of 77 degrees was recorded in 2009 and 2020.

With a high of 78 degrees, officials said the new record is not far from the monthly record high of 81 degrees.

Residents should take advantage of the heat while it lasts as the forecast shows a chance of snow later in the week.
