Suspect identified in serious hit-and-run collision that took place at Colorado resort

On January 2, a serious hit-and-run collision took place at Keystone Resort in which a person on a ski bike reportedly struck a father and daughter from behind before leaving the scene. The daughter was ultimately treated and released, but the father was left in critical condition. At the time, there wasn’t much information on a potential suspect with authorities asking the public for help in the case, and just days later, information about a suspect has been released.

According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect in the case is 50-year-old Brandon Rhodes of Louisiana. Rhodes was riding a rented orange Snow-Go ski bike when it is believed he struck the two skiers. The two skiers have also been identified as Michelle Feeney and John Link of California.

Rhodes has been cited with leaving the scene of a collision, with the case ongoing. Additional charges may be added.

In good news, the father, John Link, was reported to be doing better on January 4 and is no longer listed in critical condition.

Anyone with information about the case was previously asked to contact the Summit County 911 Center at 970-668-8600.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
