Folk festival set to take place on shores of Colorado’s largest natural lake

Grand County has a full schedule of live music events throughout the summer, and it includes everything from lively festivals to quaint community concerts.

With a stage set on the shores of Colorado’s largest and deepest natural lake, the Grand Lake Folk Festival will take place on July 13. The festival will include great music surrounded by beautiful Rocky Mountain scenery.

Globally acclaimed bluegrass band Trampled by Turtles will perform at the festival. Formed in Minnesota in 2003, the band took inspiration from both rock & roll and bluegrass. Trampled by Turtles reached 29th on Billboard 200 for their album Wild Animals, and has toured with bands like Lord Huron, Wilco, Caamp, Mt. Joy, and Deer Tick.

Clay Street Unit and Josiah & the Bonnevilles will also perform. Find more information about the festival and buy tickets here.

As well as the Grand Lake Folk Festival, there are many other live music events scheduled in Grand County over the summer. Events include the Blues From The Top Festival, Summer Nights at Granby Ranch, High-Note Thursdays in the Park, Rocky Mountain Music Series, and County At The Park.
