68-year-old woman found deceased in Colorado creek

The Boulder Sheriff’s Office reports that a missing 68-year-old woman was found deceased in Boulder Creek on June 3.

The woman, identified as Carolyn Drews, was reported missing by a family member earlier in the day, at that time considered to be an at-risk adult due to health issues.

A search was conducted in the Boulder Canyon and Fourmile Canyon areas after the woman’s vehicle was found nearby.

During the search, a deceased woman was found in the creek, though due to injuries that she had sustained, it was not possible to confirm her identity. The coroner’s office confirmed that the deceased woman was Drews on the morning of June 6.

The death does not appear to be suspicious at this time. A cause-of-death will be released at a later date.

Condolences go out to those impacted by Drews’ death.
