“Mysterious poop chucker” might be targeting Colorado woman for not picking up dog’s waste
An interesting situation has reportedly been unfolding in Colorado’s mountainous Summit County in recent days and weeks, believed to involve a vigilante that’s punishing those who fail to pick up their dog’s waste.
According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, a woman in unincorporated Silverthorne called to report that an unknown man has been throwing bags of dog poop into her yard and onto her driveway over the past month. The woman was able to capture security footage of someone committing the act, also suspecting a neighbor as the culprit.
Deputies reached out to the man that the woman listed as a suspect in the case only to find that he did not match the description of the person in the surveillance video. The investigation into who the “mysterious poop chucker” might be continued in the woman’s neighborhood, but no suspect could be identified.
During the investigation, however, several of the woman’s neighbors noted that the woman involved is known for failing to pick up her dog’s waste. One neighbor even noted that an unknown man in the area “seems to be on a crusade against those who do not pick up after their dogs,” suggesting that this person might be behind all of the bags of poop ending up on the woman’s property.
The investigation into the situation is ongoing, with law enforcement letting the woman know “she is likely being targeted due to not picking up after her dog.”
