WATCH: ‘Creepy creature’ turns heads in Colorado with experts not 100% sure of species
A resident of Pueblo, Colorado recently captured a ‘creepy’ creature on camera, and wildlife experts have reportedly stated that they’re not 100% sure what it is.
The creature appeared at night, seen using its hands while it eats something it appears to have scavenged in video footage published by KOAA. The animal appears to be hunched over in nature, almost looking like some sort of short-nosed anteater opposed to anything native in to Centennial State.
KOAA reports that wildlife officials stated that the animal is likely a raccoon with mange, though couldn’t say that with 100% certainty. Perhaps a small bear with mange or another condition could also be a possibility – it’s difficult to judge the mysterious animal’s true size in the video.
Mange is a skin disease that’s caused by parasitic mites, primarily found in dogs and other mammals. It causes hair loss, skin irritation, and extreme itching. It can also lead to infections, lymph node inflammation, and emaciation. It’s not always fatal, though can kill.
If this animal is spotted, report it to local wildlife officials. Never handle an animal that may have mange yourself, as mange can sometimes pass to humans.
The clip capturing the animal can be seen here.
What type of animal is that? Let us know in the comments.
