Denver’s first Cracker Barrel: 7 things to know about the city’s newest country store and restaurant
Denver has a new Cracker Barrel country store and restaurant, and it opens Monday in the Central Park neighborhood in east Denver.
The popular Lebanon, Tenn., brand will surely draw many folks to the Denver locations doors for weeks after opening, where patrons can partake in the company’s kitsch decor, southern-style food and warm hospitality.
Here are seven things you need know about Cracker Barrel:
1. Cracker Barrel’s famous Rocking Chairs line the patio as you walk up to the front doors; and they are for sale. There are multiple kinds of chairs
An adult sized slat chair is $219.99 and a child sized chair is $149.99.
2. Cracker Barrel’s Southern-style food is wholesome, warm, filling and plentiful. From the Louisiana-style Shrimp Skillet to the Loaded Hashbrown Casserole, your belly will be full after a meal.
Exclusive to Colorado from opening day to May, 6, patrons can order the Cinnamon-roll Skillet, a mini cast-iron skillet full of cinnamon rolls and drenched in cream cheese icing.
Other recommended dishes to try are the Crispy Tender Dippers, the Onion Petals and the Shepard’s Pie Skillet.

3. Every Cracker Barrel has a country store, with over 1,000 products for sale and some Colorado themed products are for sale at the Denver location.
4. Every Cracker Barrel has a stop light signal above the entrances to the restrooms.
5. The decor seen in every Cracker Barrel is picked from a selection of over 900,000 items at a warehouse facility in Lebanon, Tenn.
6. Over 100 types of candies are offered in the country store, along with dozens of specialty sodas.
7. Breakfast is served all day long, with lunch and dinner menu service starting at 11 a.m.
Other tidbits
• The Denver Cracker Barrel does have a few upgrades that other locations currently do not, including brighter lighting, booth seating and multiple places to plug in digital devices to charge or work while eating.
• The Denver location has the traditional stuffed deer head hanging over the fireplace with a checkerboard table across from it.
• One thing unique to Denver’s location is that it has a side patio seating area on the west side of the restaurant that has views of the Front Range
The new restaurant is located at 9111 E. 40th Ave., just south of Interstate 70 at the Central Park Blvd exit.
