Many bars around Colorado transform into spooky experiences of Halloween fun when fall rolls around.

Here are some thrilling Halloween or horror-themed bars you’ll find in the Denver area:

  1. Honor Farm, Haunted Spirit House (Denver)

As well as a bar, Honor Farm Haunted Spirit House offers a “fully immersive paranormal experience.” The bar is also supposedly located in the most haunted building in downtown Denver.

2. The Crypt (Denver)

Enjoy horror and underground music-themed decor, as well as great food options and drinks.

3. The Devil’s Drink (Denver)

This cocktail bar specializes in espresso martinis, classic cocktails, craft beer, and spooky vibes. The bar includes a high end pool table with tournament style tables and food options as well.

4. Poka Lola Social Club (Denver)

Poka Lola changes into Poka Luna for the month of October, with seasonal specialties including drinks like Eclipsed in Pink, Holy Water, Murder on the Dance Floor, Deadly Nightshade, and The Conjuring. The bar will also host Ouija Wednesdays, the Witching Hour, Disco Mystique, and Tarot Tuesdays. Events include the “For All The Witches” kick off party, Bewitched Bazaar, Butterfly Coffin Workshop, Over The Moon Disco Workshop, and Disco Mystique.

5. Casa Bonita (Lakewood)

Debuting this year, “Casa BOOnita” will be a “vibrant celebration where the spooky spirit of Halloween meets the colorful traditions of Dia de Los Muertos.” The event will take place from Se[t. 30 – Nov. 2. Featured elements include large-scale installations and decorations, a trick or treat station, BOOnita merchandise, a “BOO-rita” specialty margarita, special activations and photo opportunities, and more surprises.

6. The Electric Cure (Edgewater)

This delightfully spooky bar is “unholy, unhinged, and off the rails.” Themed drinks include the Zombie, Satan’s Satanic Satanists, the Passion of the Christ, and much more.

7. Milepost Zero at McGregor Square (Denver)

This year, McGregor Square’s Mile post Zero is turning “strange and unusual,” with haunting drinks, offbeat decor, and wild vibes. Haunted Happy Hours will take place every Sunday and Monday from 3-6 p.m. Guests can enjoy $2 off any cocktail from the Strange and Unusual menu or draft beers from the bar. Graveyard Grooves will be every Friday Night at 8:30 p.m., with a live DJ bringing the “Netherworld to life.”

8. Adrift (Denver)

This tiki bar is switching its palm trees for pumpkins this Halloween season with the “Nightmare in Paradise” takeover running from Sept. 30-Nov. 1. The takeover will include spooky tehemed cocktails, “ghoulish good times,” and more.
