Voluntary evacuation orders lifted as crews contain vegetation fire in Estes Park

A voluntary evacuation order has been lifted after firefighters contained a vegetation fire burning near Estes Park on Saturday.

According to a Facebook post from the town of Estes Park, the Estes Valley Fire Protection District responded to a vegetation fire off Cedar Ridge Circle on Saturday, prompting a voluntary evacuation order.

The fire closed US 36/Moraine Avenue westbound at the roundabout and eastbound at Marys Lake Road.

Firefighters contained the fire, and Estes Park announced the voluntary evacuations were lifted in an update at 4:18 p.m. on Saturday.
