Historic restaurant ‘The Fort’ set to be sold to former Elitch Gardens owner

Known for its resemblance to fur-trading hub of the 1800s Bent’s Old Fort and for its exotic and creative protein options, The Fort, located in Morrison, is set to get a new owner.

According to reporting from Denver Gazette’s Bernadette Berdychowski, owner of The Fort Holly Arnold Kinney has entered into a purchasing agreement with Revesco Properties. The sale is expected to close in early 2026, with the price the restaurant is being purchased for not disclosed at this time.

The Fort first opened in 1963 and has since been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Fort has a 4.4-star rating on Google Reviews.
