New “designated drinking area” to open in Olde Town Arvada
Olde Town Arvada is opening a new “designated drinking area” where adults can enjoy a beverage as they explore Arvada’s historic downtown.
The Olde Town Arvada Business Improvement District is hosting a community party on Wednesday, Oct. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. in Olde Town Square to celebrate the new program. According to 9 News, the party will include a community toast at 6 p.m., free drink passes, and information on how the program will work.
Visitors of the area who are 21 years old and over will be able to sip on takeout beverages purchased from approved, participating businesses in Olde Town.
The new zone is on the pedestrian-only streets along Olde Wadsworth from Grant to Grandview and Grandview between Olde Wadsworth and Webster.
Drinks that are bought from a participating business will be in special takeout cups marked with a QR code, identifying them as street legal.
