Report calls for chance of 2-plus feet of snow in Colorado by mid-November
After a bit of sporadic October precipitation in Colorado, dry days have followed. That said, a major turnaround could be coming by mid-November.
Per a report from Direct Weather, an arctic blast could bring quite a bit of snow to much of northern and western America by November 16, with a look at long-term forecasts indicating this weather shift should start to happen next week. Mapping shows that much of western Colorado could get two-plus feet of snow, with a pocket of northeast Colorado also having potential for about a foot. Much of the Front Range should be missed.

At this time, not much information is available from the National Weather Service in regard to snow during this period, though experimental mapping does show a ‘risk of heavy snow’ in much of western Wyoming from November 10 to November 13 (the aforementioned Direct Weather report shows a possibility of about three-plus feet in this part of the country through November 16). More information will be published by the NWS related to potential snow in upcoming days and weeks.
Given the Direct Weather report, however, it’s looking like there might be a bit of fresher snow in Colorado by Thanksgiving. Find the full video from Direct Weather here.
