Mountains meet luxury at hot spring resort with 32 pools in Colorado

While many Coloradans are setting their sights for Summit County and the Central Mountain region as winter hits, there’s a certain spot in the southwest corner of state that shouldn’t be overlooked or skipped – Durango. Not only does Durango come with a food scene that’s grown immensely in recent years and Purgatory ski area (known for its affordability with lift tickets priced as low as $9), it’s also home to Durango Hot Springs Resort & Spa – one of the best hot spring destinations to be found in the Centennial State.

The mountains meet luxury at Durango Hot Springs Resort & Spa, thanks to a thought-out design that maintains its natural feel amid a stunning scene.

The spot has 32 mineral-fed pools that range from 99 degrees to 112 degrees Fahrenheit, as well as two cold plunges designed to help with contrast therapy – believed to provide benefits of relaxing muscles, improving circulation, and calming the nervous system.

It’s also worth noting that private Japanese Ofuro tubs are among Durango Hot Springs options, which allow users to control the temperature.

Adult visitors also may be interested in a dedicated child-free section, an on-site bar that serves up cocktails, and a food truck operated by a Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef.

Anyone looking to book a visit to Durango Hot Springs Resort & Spa should check out their website for a full list of offerings, which also includes various spa treatments. Two-hour admission to the hot springs comes in at $39.
