Sparring deer crash into basement in Colorado home

A sparring match between two deer ended when they crashed into the basement of a home near Roxborough Park late last night.

According to West Metro Fire Rescue, the incident occurred at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. The bucks were reportedly butting heads when they crashed into a home’s window well and through the glass into the basement gym.

The homeowner called Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), and two officers responded with a tranquilizer gun. CPW called West Metro to help.

Together, CPW and West Metro tranquilized the two deer, tagged them, and carried them out with a MegaMover, which West Metro said is basically a tarp stretcher.

The bucks were released once they woke up from the sedation.
