Denver Audubon to host winter festival
Denver Audubon is hosting a free holiday festival this year on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event, the Wings & Wonder Holiday Festival, will take place at the Kingery Nature Center.
“There is such beauty in the winter season,” said Nicole Bopp, executive director of Denver Audubon, in a press release. “Wings & Wonder is a chance to slow down , gather in community, and celebrate the many gifts that nature offers us this time of year.”
The festival activities include live bird ambassadors from Nature’s Educators, birding and photos with Santa, birds walks for adults and families (including mindfulness walks and guided sessions with master birders), winter bird-feeding workshops, arts, crafts, and educational activities, and live bird-inspired music from local artists. There will also be the Nature’s Gifts Holiday Market, which features local artisans inspired by birds and the natural world.
Denver Audubon requests guests fill out pre-registration for the best experience. Most activities are available throughout the day.
