Colorado ski resort ranks among the best in the US
As more snow begins to fall across the country, ski resorts across the U.S. are preparing for the peak winter season.
USA Today’s 10Best recently released the top picks for best ski resort in the U.S., and the winners included resorts that offer “serious snowfall, varied terrain, lots of lift access, and so much more.”
With Colorado’s variety of ski resorts, it’s no surprise that one resort in the Centennial State made the list.
USA Today’s 10Best is a readers’ choice awards program that spotlights the best in everything from destinations and things to do to food, drink, and hotels. An expert panel selects the nominees and the readers vote to determine the winners.
Aspen Snowmass took fourth place on the list. According to USA Today, Aspen Snowmass is one of Colorado’s “most glamorous winter resorts.” The resort offers four ski areas and over 5,700 acres of skiable terrain. Intermediate and expert skiers flock to Aspen Mountain (as it has no green trails), while Snowmass and Buttermilk appeal to beginners and freestyle riders with groomers, terrain parks, and pipes. USA Today also mentions that Aspen Highlands is a local favorite.
Snowbasin Resort in Huntsville, Utah took first place as the best ski resort in the U.S.
