Two Colorado spots featured among ‘best spas’ on the planet by ELLE
Elle has released its top picks for the best spas in the world, and two Colorado spas made the cut to be included.
To create the list, each destination was carefully selected, evaluated, and awarded by an editor. Locations were assessed using Elle’s criteria including the “uniqueness of the atmosphere, integration of local offerings, design, and overall experience.”
The Spa at The Little Nell was included in the list. Located in Aspen, this spa offers deep-tissue massages, facials, and even a service called the Altitude Adjustment Ritual for those spending their days on the slopes. According to Elle, the spa features fireplaces, salt-infused sauna sessions, and products from Barbara Sturm, Colorado-based ski care line ISUN, and Seed to Skin Tuscany.
Elle says that likely fans of this spa include “people who track OpenSnow, those who are convinced fresh powder has a different smell, and snowboarders who moisturize between runs.”
Spa at St. Julien was also featured on the list. The spa sits at the foot of Boulder’s famous Flatirons and in the middle of historic Pearl Street. According to Elle, St Julien offers a perfect mix of modern amenities and rustic charm. Some of the spa’s treatments even take inspiration from the area. The Alpine Recovery Massage uses mountainous arnica oil during a traditional Swedish massage. Guests can relax on an outdoor terrace with a view of the mountains after their treatments. The spa also includes features like CBD add-ons, hand repair masks, and packages bundling massages, facials, and nail services.
