Drive time: 30 minutes

Located in Idaho Springs, you might just forget that you’re only about 30 minutes away from Denver at this hot springs resort. The historic hot springs features a mineral-water pool surrounded by banana trees, naturally heated botanic swimming pool, caves, outdoor tubs, spa treatments, and accommodations if you want to stay longer.

2. Raspberry Hot Springs

Drive time: 55 minutes

Also located in Idaho Springs, this relaxed stone spa features soaking, hiking, and stunning mountain views. Be warned – reservations are required and getting to this spot requires a 4WD/AWD vehicle with 8-plus inches of clearance.

3. Hot Sulphur Springs Resort and Spa

Drive time: 2 hours and 1 minute

Nestled deep in the Colorado Rockies, this resort features 20 pools with 100 percent natural water. The resort also offers massages and guests an opportunity to stay at the historical property that was established in 1943.

5. Cottonwood Hot Springs Inn & Spa

Drive time: 2 hours and 24 minutes

Nestled among the Collegiate Peaks Range, this hot springs is next to the Cottonwood Creek and surrounded by the San Isabel National Forest. The resort is located about 2 1/2 hours from Denver and includes gravity fed natural hot water, quiet soaking tubs, wind, solar, and geothermal energy, and rustic cabins with private soaking tubs.
