Skier dead after collision with tree in Aspen

A spokesperson representing Aspen One has confirmed that a skier fatality took place on Aspen Mountain on Friday, December 19.

The skier died after sustaining injuries in a collision with a tree. The skier was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

Following the collision, the skier was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital. Unfortunately, the skier did not survive the ordeal.

“Our deepest condolences are with the guest’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time,” read a statement from Aspen One. “We are truly sorry for their loss. We’d also like to thank to our highly trained Ski Patrol for their swift and professional response.”
