2 occupants uninjured after small plane crash in Northern Colorado

Two people survived a plane crash in Northern Colorado on Saturday morning.

According to the Hudson Fire Protection District, crews were dispatched to the small plane crash at 9:22 a.m. on Saturday. Once they arrived on scene, the firefighters found the plane and confirmed that there were two occupants who had both self-extricated before rescue crews arrived.

No injuries were reported.

CBS News reported that the plane had taken off from Platte Valley Airpark and crash landed upside down in a field.

“We are grateful for the positive outcome and thankful everyone involved is okay,” HFPD wrote in a Facebook post about the incident.

The incident was handed over to the Weld County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation.
