Rockslide closes EB I-70 on Saturday in Mesa County

Large boulders slammed onto the road on eastbound Interstate 70 in Mesa County on Saturday morning, closing the eastbound lanes through De Beque Canyon.

According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, eastbound I-70 between Exit 47 and Exit 49 was closed. Traffic was diverted onto Highway 65.

The eastbound lanes reopened later on Saturday morning, according to reporting from Denver 7.
