Fire breaks out near I-70 Sunday afternoon

Firefighters are working to put out a fire that ignited in Silver Plume on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office, a home in Silver Plume was fully engulfed.

The Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office also said that the fire could be seen from Interstate 70 and that multiple motorists had reported it. Clear Creek Fire Authority, Evergreen Fire Rescue, and Foothills Fire are responding to the fire.

As of now, authorities have not reported any injuries.
