Investigation underway after body found in Arkansas River near downtown Pueblo

The Pueblo Police Department has announced that an investigation is underway after a body was found in the Arkansas River near the 1100 block of West 4th Street. This is located just west of downtown Pueblo and near the Pueblo River Trail, in the area of the historic Pueblo Levee Mural.

The body was found at about 1:47 p.m. on March 16. Additional details related to the discovery were not made public and the identity of the individual was slated to be released by the county coroner at a later date at last report.
